About Cayla
Making a difference one Gold Ribbon at a time!
Our History
The Gold Ribbon Project was established in 2017 by Cayla Kumar with the mission of promoting childhood cancer awareness and advancing research efforts. Cayla's longstanding commitment to this cause dates back over a decade when she was appointed as the inaugural Youth Ambassador of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Since then, Cayla has remained a dedicated volunteer and advocate for childhood cancer research, actively lobbying for increased funding. The Gold Ribbon Project is the culmination of Cayla's tireless efforts across various organizations over the past six years, and serves as a testament to her unwavering passion for this critical cause.
Our Mission
At our non-profit, our mission is straightforward yet powerful: to positively impact the lives of children, one gold ribbon at a time. Through our fundraising initiatives, we aim to support pediatric cancer research and local hospitals, channeling all donations directly towards research efforts and the purchase of critical hospital equipment. By working tirelessly towards this common goal, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families affected by cancer.

Our nonprofit's board members are a group of exceptional volunteers who are fully committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children fighting cancer. They possess a diverse range of skills and backgrounds in fields such as medicine, law, and education, providing our organization with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Their collective passion and dedication are reflected in their ongoing efforts to advance our mission, from developing innovative fundraising strategies to providing crucial support for families and medical professionals in the pediatric cancer community. Through their tireless work and unwavering commitment, our board members play a critical role in helping us achieve our goals and make a lasting impact on the fight against childhood cancer.
